Test of English Language Teachers (TELT)
TELT is a cost-effective online assessment designed to evaluate the English proficiency of non-native English-speaking teachers. It focuses on the practical language needed to teach effectively in English in communicative, learner-centred classrooms.
Aligned to CEFR levels A1–C1, TELT provides reliable benchmarking for both in-service teachers and those in the recruitment process. It tests speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with speaking and writing assessed by accredited native-speaking examiners.

TELT was developed with funding from the British Council’s Thailand Digital Innovation Grant (DIG) and has been successfully implemented with primary, secondary, and vocational teachers in both Thailand and India.
